Group singing boosts health and well-being; and offers a fun,
supportive, and inspiring environment to learn how to sing and
connect with like-minded individuals.

– “Singing releases endorphins, the brain’s ‘feel good’
chemicals providing an over-all lifted feeling” says author and voice coach
Tammy Frederick. Some people experience fear when confronted with singing,
since it involves stepping out of their 'comfort zone'. In a group setting, through
being 'in it together' and having fun, fear is easily and quickly transformed into
confidence and happiness. Singing in a group also helps reduce performance
anxiety, giving participants the opportunity to release their voice in the
supportive environment of the group. “The fun and challenge of singing in
harmony with others is a wonderful stress-release and mood boosting activity”
says Ms. Frederick.

Tammy Frederick is the creator of the group singing class called Harmonise, a
fun and interactive experience, bringing together singers and would-be singers
who want to release their own voice while learning how to sing in harmony with
others. No previous experience is required to take part in the class and it has
something to offer everyone.

Harmonise starts April 14th and runs every Sunday night from 6:30 - 8:30 pm for
8 weeks, at Loretto Maryholme, Spiritual Retreat Centre, 379A Bouchier Street,
Roches Point, ON. Registration is $160, plus $30 course materials for Simply Sing

by Tammy Frederick.
